SOUTHERN SKY STAR PARTY 2007

In order to introduce and educate astronomy to the public, Rig-K team and HIMASTRON ITB (student body of astronomy in ITB) held a gathering for the skywatcher and all who has interest in astronomy.
A star party is a gathering of amateur astronomers for the purpose of observing the sky. So this is the place to share knowledge, experience and curiosity about space. Here you can share your skill and knowledge about telescope, sky map, shoot the galaxy, nebula or deep-filed object. If you have telescope you can bring it too. Come and fulfill your curiosity about universe.
How if I don’t have the equipment? well, we have it too so don’t worry to join us.
Another purpose of this gathering is make a collaborative network among the astronomy community in Indonesia.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Star Party 2007 (en), but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

hi, i plan to have a birthday party for my 11 year old son on september 8, 2007. is it possible for your team to come and share with us your knowledge about astronomy as the program of my son’s bday party .we live in south jakarta about 1 kilo from rumah sakit fatmawati. thank you for replying. peace,
