in observing the radio astronomical objects, if you want to plot the intensity versus time, then a low spatial resolution antenna will be enough. but if you want to create the map the intensity (imaging), you have to use a high spatial resolution antenna. of course to decide the type of the antenna, you have to refer to in what frequency you want to do the observation. I'm not sure about instrument to catch the lightning, i can't answer this question.</description>
